Facelift is a procedure that everyone has probably heard of. It effectively addresses skin laxity, smooths wrinkles, and improves the facial contour. The classic method is quite invasive, but nowadays there are many techniques that allow for much gentler facial rejuvenation, sometimes even without tissue damage. Sounds interesting? Learn about the latest methods for improving appearance and achieve your dream look!
Ultrasound facial treatments
Ultrasound facelifting is considered one of the least invasive options because, in most cases, it doesn’t require breaking the skin’s continuity. It naturally tightens and thickens the skin. The most common procedures are primarily HIFU – high-intensity focused ultrasound, which means a concentrated beam of long-distance sound waves. One of the most powerful treatments of this type is Ultraskin II. The specially selected probe heats tissues to 65-70℃, shortening collagen fibers and stimulating fibroblasts to increase production of this protein. It also eliminates excess fat, making it an excellent way to get rid of a double chin. The technology is also gentle enough to be used for eyelift procedures, including lifting drooping eyelids.
Infrared facelifting
Infrared facelifting works on a similar principle to ultrasound. Since the procedure itself and the results are quite similar, the best treatment is usually chosen by a specialist based on an assessment of the treatment area and the patient’s history.
Among the most popular types of IR face lift is Zaffiro. The infrared light emitted by the device has a wavelength of 750-1800 nm and high intensity. This causes collagen fibers to contract and new ones to form. Results appear gradually but are lasting and very natural.
Laser facelift
Recent years have seen a craze for laser treatments. They can remove scars, visible blood vessels, discolorations, as well as wrinkles and skin laxity. The most effective are picosecond lasers — at our clinic, we offer PicoClear and iPixel devices. Both are safe, and a specific treatment with them should be performed by a professional.
What does laser facial lifting involve? An incredibly precise beam of light targets the problematic area and triggers controlled micro-damage, promoting tissue regeneration. Sounds simple? From the patient’s perspective, that’s exactly how it is! The procedure requires only a few days of recovery, but considering the spectacular results achievable, it’s worth a small sacrifice.
Vampire facelift
Although the name might deter some, the so-called “vampire lift” is actually a natural method for restoring a youthful appearance. This platelet-rich plasma therapy involves drawing blood from the patient, spinning it in a special device, and re-injecting it into the treatment area. As a result, natural reconstruction processes begin in the tissue, including increased tension, thickening, and smoothing. The skin becomes radiant and markedly younger.
Thread face lift
The next type of face lifting on our list uses special threads. They will tighten the skin for approximately 24 months. The procedure can be performed on different parts of the body, but the most common area is the face. The role of PDO threads is both mechanical stretching of the tissue and stimulation of new collagen fiber formation. The latter is enabled by special ingredients in these dissolvable threads. The specialist places them in the skin using a sterile needle, which features hooks for technique. Although you will notice initial effects almost immediately after the procedure, deeper tissue changes may take about 10-14 days.
