How to sleep after Botox?

Botox is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures, designed for people who want to maintain a youthful appearance. Have you been considering using such a procedure for some time, but there are many questions in your mind? Or maybe you’ve already had your first Botox and want the best possible results? Be sure to learn how to sleep after Botox – this is one of the most important issues after this rejuvenating procedure!

What does botox consist of?

Let’s start with a brief explanation of what exactly the Botox procedure entails. Well, it is a method of rejuvenation with botulinum toxin, which is commonly just called Botox. Importantly, this method is completely safe, and the effects last for a long time.

How does it work? Well, during the procedure, a special substance is injected into the muscles of selected parts, which causes the nerve to stop sending impulses – this, in turn, leads to muscle inactivity. Wrinkles smooth out almost instantly!

Botox allows for spectacular results, such as:

  • noticeable facial rejuvenation,
  • Getting rid of even very deep facial wrinkles,
  • Visible smoothing of the skin,
  • Improving your well-being and making your life more comfortable.

It’s also worth mentioning that Botox can be used, among other things, on the so-called “botox”. “crow’s feet”, or wrinkles around the eyes, for horizontal and vertical wrinkles (the so-called “lion’s head”), for smoker’s wrinkles above the upper lip, as well as for the corners of the mouth. Botox can also be applied to the neck. So you can see that this treatment allows for a comprehensive rejuvenation of the appearance.

Recommendations after Botox – don’t ignore them!

At this point, it is worth explaining that Botox is a procedure that takes about 20 minutes. So there is no need to take a day off. This treatment does not leave any traces. You don’t even have to wash off your makeup. So it is enough to take a short break from work. After the treatment, you can return to your daily duties.

Although Botox is a very safe procedure and does not take much time, offenders for the procedure are given a number of recommendations. There are several things you absolutely must not do after Botox. These include:

  • use of scrubs,
  • Staying in very low or very high temperatures – for up to two weeks after treatment,
  • Performing permanent makeup or microdermabrasion,
  • Massaging the facial skin,
  • Tilting or excessive head-bobbing,
  • Performing strenuous physical exercises – especially those that require staying in a head-down position. Exercise should be abandoned for at least a few days,
  • drinking alcohol – is also strictly prohibited after Botox, mainly due to the risk of bruising and swelling.

Of course, for specific recommendations, be sure to ask the person who performs the procedure. This person will be well aware of the condition of your skin, how the procedure went and what you need to avoid.

It also turns out that after Botox you must not go to bed – at least for a few hours! Well, that’s it – so the question arises, how to sleep after Botox?

How to sleep after Botox?

Most people who opt for Botox ask themselves this important question. Of course, it’s all about how to sleep after Botox. It turns out that this is extremely important – improper and inconsistent behavior after the procedure can negatively affect the results. And yet, every person who decides to have the procedure wants the results to be excellent!

So it’s high time to find the answer to the question of how to sleep after Botox. First and foremost, there are a few key principles to keep in mind:

  • for at least a few hours after the procedure, do not lie down in a horizontal position – if you need to, travel something under your head to keep it straight,
  • do not take short naps for at least a few hours after the procedure, and preferably until the end of the day,
  • try to keep your head upright – otherwise the effects of the treatment may be disrupted.

These rules should be followed for at least four to six hours after the procedure. So it’s worth doing Botox in the morning so that in the evening you don’t have to ask yourself how to sleep after Botox.

Summary

If it’s been at least six hours since the botulinum toxin treatment, you can go to bed in peace. And in the morning you will wake up with a face rejuvenated by at least a few years – although the best results will be visible after two days!
